Name spellings, affiliations etc in the archive and the linked results listings available from this page are based on the archive.  In general, the archive uses the spelling first used by a participant, unless the name change is permanent (e.g. when a lady marries), to avoid risk of confusion between people with similar names, e.g. Steve Walker, Steven Walker and Stephen Walker. For doppelgangers (e.g. the two Stephen Walker's who have appeared) identification text may be added to the name for the archive.    Please let me know if you are aware of any errors, to rrrhenry-at-hmarston.co.uk making the obvious substitution. (Note: to help protect against Spam, most e-mail addresses given require editing to insert the @ sign)

Preliminary results appear on Si Entries

To clarify, there are 2 main pages:
Results, where you select the category you want, Solo All or various Solo categories, or Relay, with it's categories.
The other page is the Team result, related to the 3-person team inter-club competition within the Solo event.

Graphical and more digestible tabular analysis will be provided from this page (in progress).

30-completions

Andrew West, Henry Marston and Kerry Booth

The awards are based on my records; please let me know if there is an error (contact information below). Names get spelled differently in different years (Steve or Stephen), ladies marry, and certain names have been duplicated, easy when there were two Nigel Robinson's in one year, more difficult when there were John White's in different years, from different clubs (which is not decisive) but different DOB (which usually is).

Retirements are included with main results

Relay:

For the first time since the inaugural relays in 1997, a Mixed team is the overall winning team. One of the ladies, Charlotte Jones ran 2 stages, recording the third fastest time (overall) on Stage 4 and second fastest on Stage 6.  Their time was just over 3 minutes slower than the record Mixed Relay time from Handsworth Roadhogs in 2016. Four of the men recorded the fastest time of the day on their stages, the exception being on the last stage for which the Green Gang's 7th stage runner, Tom Shaw,  ran the Golden Boys' 8th stage after a 6 minute break (permitted to run consecutive stages as it's for a different team), just pipping the Green Gang's 8th stage runner's time.

More detailed assessment of Relay results

Relay split times as a web page, very large, or pdf file of Relay split times showing the Teams listed in finishing order.

Relay leg analysis as a web page, very large, or pdf file of Relay leg analysis showing the (named) stage runners listed in order of pace based on min/km.
Stage Rank is the ranking for that particular stage.  Gain/Loss indicates positional change on the stage (No change on leg 1; it says leg 1).

Graphical Analysis  Relay splits and graphical analysis are now available

HELP:- I need to confirm team members, who ran which leg.  Are these names correct?

Please email Henry Marston to advise of errors.  The table above (of unconfirmed teams) or Split is probably the easiest to check.
